and FIREWORKS FINALE presented by Baylor Medical Center at Frisco

His strike zone may be greater than most but that doesn’t deter Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki from taking to the baseball diamond every summer. On Saturday, June 27, he’ll once again headline Dirk Nowitzki’s 2015 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game presented by Baylor Medical Center at Frisco at the Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco (7300 RoughRiders Trl).
The big game begins at 6:30 p.m. Game goers are encouraged to come out early for family-fun festivities and
a Heroes Special Olympics All-Star Softball Game plus post-game fireworks to round out the evening.

For the 14th year, two baseball teams, each made up of celebrity players and amateurs, will slug it out for nine innings of
hard-charging, umpires-umpping, trash-talking, base-stealing, home run-hitting, authentic baseball!

Here is the line-up for this year’s game (players subject to change):

Tickets are on sale now for $8, $12, $16 and $19 at Ticketmaster (800-745-3000 or ticketmaster.com)
or at the Dr Pepper Ballpark Box Office during office hours. Will call will open at 10 a.m. on June 27. Tickets also

will be available at the door. Last year’s event was a sell-out, so advance purchase is recommended.

Who is Swish41?

Dirk Nowitzki was born in Würzburg, Germany on June 19, 1978. He began his professional career with Würzburg DJK in the Bundesliga and then impressed NBA coaches and scouts with 33 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 steals at the 1998 Nike Hoop Summit. Consequently, Dirk became the ninth pick in the NBA draft, with an arranged trade that sent him from Milwaukee to Dallas.

Dirk owns multiple Mavericks franchise records, including career points, three-point field goals, free throws, rebounds, and points in a single game. He has led the Mavericks to seasons of 50 or more wins and annual trips to the playoffs since 2001. In the 2005-2006 season Nowitzki played a major role in sweeping the Grizzlies, defeating San Antonio and the Suns, and winning the Western Conference Championship for Dallas’ first trip to the NBA Finals.

But many children around the world need help to even have a chance to enhance their lives and to realize their dreams. With the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation I want to help provide education, health and well being for these children and to make a difference in their lives.”
